Paul A. Livgard
Paul Livgard received four degrees from the University of Minnesota graduating with High Distinction and as a member of Phi Beta Kappa. After obtaining his undergraduate degree, Paul taught Advanced American History and Economic Principles at Henry Sibley Senior High School in Mendota Heights, Minnesota.
After a very rewarding teaching career, Paul attended the University of Minnesota Law School, graduating cum laude in 1986. Upon graduation, Paul practiced with Dennis Peterson and became a partner in the law firm of Peterson, Fishman, Livgard and Capistrant where he represented individuals and small businesses in a wide variety of civil legal matters. The firm was ultimately restructured and Paul continues his practice with the successor firm which has become Livgard & Lloyd PLLP.
Paul enjoys working with people to help them resolve the legal challenges that they confront. He is especially involved with older and disabled individuals, working primarily in the areas of Social Security disability, estate planning, probate and elder law. Clients appreciate Paul’s sensitivity to their individual issues and the manner in which he handles their specific needs.
Paul also assists clients with business issues including corporate/partnership formation decisions, lease and contract review and real estate transactions. He also represents a number of construction companies in litigation matters.
Paul and his wife Jo, a retired Minneapolis public school teacher, live in St. Paul. They have one child, Lara, who lives in London and works for Oracle as an international strategy director.
